The Berkshire Jazz Orchestra has performed at the Richter Arts Center, Waterbury Palace Theater, Merryall Arts Center, Norwalk Oyster Festival, Nelson Hall at Elim Park, the Bethel Jazz Series at La Zingara Restaurant, and many community concert venues. The band has also been featured at area college and high school jazz festivals.
Members of the Berkshire Jazz Orchestra include professional musicians and area music educators. Their individual musical resumes include performances with many top jazz and pop groups, including the Stan Kenton Orchestra, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, TheCount Basie Orchestra, The Four Tops, and The Temptations. This wealth of experience contributes to a great collective sound, as well as sparkling featured solos.
