The Trio explores the music of Abbey Lincoln, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone as well as the music of bassist Charlie Haden and Charles Mingus. Saxophonist Joel Frahm is a highly sought after musician in New York City and around the world. The groups collaboration several months ago was a stunning representation of what it is to be an improvising ensemble with rave reviews after their concert at the Spring Gallery in Saratoga, New York.
