Miroslav Hloucal Quintet is a new project trumpeter and composer Miroslav Hloucal.
He invited their friends and fellow musicians from other well-known jazz projects. The music of this grouping is the author, most written by Miroslav Hloucal. They combine the main stream of modern influences, elements of free jazz and endorses the hard bop tradition.
In 2012 he won Miroslav Hloucal Quartet 1st place in the prestigious Czech-German jazz competition called JAZZPRIX / Jazz an der Donau 2012. He also was among four final bands for INTERNATIONAL JAZZ COMPETITION Getxo 2012 in Spain.
