Jazz and blues vocalist Toni Lynn Washington, known as Boston’s Queen of the Blues, kicks off the 2015 fall Woods Hole Jazz music series with the Frank Wilkins Quartet on Wednesday, September 30th. at 7:30 PM. The concert takes place in historic Woods Hole Community Hall in Falmouth on Cape Cod. Washington has garnered seven W.C. Handy Blues Award nominations, the highest accolade for blues artists, including three for Soul-Blues Female Performer of the Year. In 1999, she received "Album of the Year" and "Outstanding Blues Album" at the W.C. Handy and Boston Music Awards respectively.
