Kathy Gelb, a seasoned performer who began singing at an early age, is the daughter of the late local jazz legend, pianist and TV personality, Paul Montgomery. Carol Ingbretsen, who has performed European classical music and American classical music (jazz), has been a vocalist with The Caroiina Symphony, The Carolina Ballet, Fred Waring and The Pennsylvanians, The National Opera Company, North Carolina Master Chorale, in collaboration with Rick Motylinski of the North Carolina Symphony, The Tar River Swing Band, The John Brown Jazz Orchestra and The Pharmers. She also sings jazz regularly in the Triangle (NC) area, with her husband Paul on acoustic bass or guitar.
Maggie Pate Duffey, a Berklee College alum, has had a long singing career, including concerts and performances with Loonis McGlohon, The Heath Brothers, Alan Youngblood, Jon Metzger and Bobby McFerrin. She is a singer, producer and a non-profit adminstrator. Maggie has been a radio announcer and programmer at WHQR-FM, Wilmington, North Carolina, assistant to the Director of The Thelonious Monk Institute, sat on the board of The N.C. Jazz Network and has been a visiting artist for North Carolina and the state of Washington.
Shana Tucker, an Amityville, New York native, North Carolina-based, singer/songwriter/cellist, has just released her first solo recording called "Shine. Tucker began playing the piano at an early age, performed on the cello through high school and college. She has studied at Howard University, Brooklyn College Conservatory ,worked with the trio, Hue, and has arranged/composed compositions on several CDs, theatre productions and TV commercials. Her commissioned pieces include "Nexxus" and "Savannah" and her group, Hue, has opened up for Hamiett Bluett, Vinx, Sweet Honey and the Rock, and the Blind Boys of Alabama.
