Brazilian jazz vocalist Ithamara Koorax and guitarist Marcel Powell pay tribute to the legendary guitar virtuoso Baden Powell (Marcel's father) and the most important Bossa Nova lyricist, Vinicius De Moraes. This engagement, from April 9 to 12, happens at the Vinicius Show Bar, named after De Moraes. No início de sua carreira, em 1990, a cantora Ithamara Koorax contou com o incentivo e o aval de grandes mestres da MPB. Tom Jobim, Elizeth Cardoso, João Gilberto, Luiz Bonfá e principalmente Baden Powell. Em seu primeiro CD, "Ithamara Koorax Ao Vivo" (vencedor do Prêmio Sharp da Música Brasileira), a faixa de abertura foi uma música de Baden chamada "Carta de Poeta". Logo depois, Ithamara e Baden gravaram juntos, ao lado de Norma Bengell, um especial de TV para a Rede Manchete que fez grande sucesso na época.

Baden veio a falecer em 2000, mas o destino os manteve unidos através de seu filho e herdeiro musical, o também violonista Marcel Powell. Há três anos, Ithamara e Marcel iniciaram uma parceria que já resultou em inúmeros shows memoráveis no chamado "circuito dos editais" (Caixa Cultural, Furnas, CCBB).

O repertório, é uma homenagem às mais belas composições de Baden Powell em parceria com Vinicius de Moraes, muitas delas gravadas por Ithamara como "Canto de Ossanha", "Consolação", "Berimbau", "Bocochê", e o fantástico samba "Deixa", incluído em um dos mais premiados CDs de Ithamara, "O Grande Amor", eleito um dos melhores álbuns de 2010 pela revista DownBeat, a "bíblia do jazz".
