Ithamara Koorax pays tribute to her artistic godmother, Elizeth Cardoso, one of Brazil's greatest singers ever. She is backed by a trio that includes two musicians (drummer Cesar Machado and pianist Ze Maria Rocha) who played with Cardoso, plus bassist Jose Luiz Maia. Elizeth Cardoso was the first Brazilian songstress to record bossa nova in the late 50s - on the groundbreaking "Cancao do Amor Demais" album, backed by Joao Gilberto on the guitar, as well as on the legendary soundtrack composed by Luiz Bonfa & Antonio Carlos Jobim to the "Black Orpheus" movie.
