Visiting Brasil is Houston based, Venezuelan Jazz singer Raquel Cepeda. Her and Brazilian pianist Marvio Ciribelli, who will be touring the US in May, will anticipate their encounter to make two shows in Brazil during the month of March, one in Sáo Paulo and one in Rio de Janeiro.
Marvio Ciribelli has recorded 15 CDs, has participated four times in the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, and has played in France, in Germany with the Java Jazz Festival, and in Indonesia. Marvio has original compositions released in Germany, England, and Japan.
In Brasil, Ciribelli has played with Altay Veloso, Chico Batera, Bibi Ferreira, Vanessa Rangel, Nilze Carvalho e com o Grupo Azymuth, and produced Brazilian singer Thaís Motta for 9 years. In 2016 Marvio will release two CDs, one of them recorded with the member of the Dutch group Focus.
Raquel Cepeda has recorded 2 CDs, "Juegos de Playa" and "I'm Confessin’”, and has participated in projects with other artists including the CD “The Fountainhead” (from american trumpet player Kenneth Easton) and a new project of music from Venezuelan Aldemaro Romero to be released this year lead by Luis Serrano. Raquel was the winner of the first place of the “Ucevista Voice Festival” in 1995, writes original compositions, and has sang with important figures including legendary american jazz pianist Ellis Marsalis.
Está no Brasil a cantora de jazz, Raquel Cepeda, venezuelana, radicada em Houston (Texas, EUA). Ela o pianista brasileiro Marvio Ciribelli, que estarão em Tourné no mês de Maio, no Estados Unidos, vão antecipar seu encontro para fazer shows pelo Brasil, no mês de Março.
Marvio Ciribelli tem 15 discos gravados e participou 4 vezes do Montreux Jazz Festival (Suiça) além de já ter feito shows na França, Alemanha no Java Jazz Festival, da Indonésia. Marvio tem composições próprias lançadas na Alemanha, Inglaterra e Japão. No Brasil, Ciribelli tocou com Altay Veloso, Chico Batera, Bibi Ferreira, Vanessa Rangel, Nilze Carvalho e com o Grupo Azymuth além de ter produzido, por 9 anos, a cantora carioca Thaís Motta.
