Jazz: A Musical Conversation
This trio, led by our summer session Jazz & Improvisation Workshop director Aaron Staebell, invites the audience to listen to a song before breaking it down into melody and accompaniment for an interactive discussion of listening, improvisation and learning how musical “statements” fit together. Next up is a game of listening to determine whose “statement” doesn’t work with the others before concluding with a final “conversational” performance. All ages.
