Kimmo Pohjonen (Finland) revolutionized the accordion, which he has been playing since the age of 10 and which he altered radically. He is an artist who constantly changes the paradigm of his performances. "All About Jazz" magazine called him "an artist who makes no compromises when he ventures into genres that excite him", both solo and in his collaborations with Kronos Quartet, King Crimson or even with his two daughters.
Smida Jazz Festival is an international event dedicated to avant-garde jazz which takes place in the heart of Apuseni Natural Park, Transylvania, Romania.
