Ronnie Cuber (New York, 1941) is one of the greats on the baritone sax. He played with jazzlegends like Lee Konitz, George Benson and Horace silver. He has also been a member of the Mingus Big Band for years. Besides this, he is also a pioneer in the crossover. This came in handy with his collaborations with Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Steely Dan en Frank Zappa.

Cuber will be accompanied by the Rein de Graaff Trio, who are considered one of the leading bebob formations in Europe. Rein (Groningen, 1942) plays mainstream and modern jazz, and has already recorded over 40 albums. From a young age he was obsessed by the bebop music of Charlie Parker. In 1980 he won the Boy Edgar Award and in 1986 de Bird Award at the North Sea Jazz Festival. He accompanied great American players like Sonny Stit, Dexter Gordon, Johnny Griffin and Clark Terry.
