The performance will bring jazz to the African Market and to a demographic underserved in the Sacramento region. The influence of African music, rhythms, and idea on jazz, today's pop music, and almost every genre of music is well known. This concert will help attendees better understand how the Black hertiage has contributed to the culture as we know it today.
