Saturday, August 16th mark the end of the summer series at the amphitheater with smokin’ all-male performances with Warren Hill headlining the show. He’ll be accompanied by Jonathon “J” White, a Detroit native, who has shared the stage with a long list of jazz greats. White’s music is undoubtedly soulfully-driven, with a hint of Smooth Jazz mixed with Straight Ahead Jazz.
The group, DW3, will round out the evening with a trio of harmonious voices bringing high intensity in the form of R&B Jazz and Latin Soul. As DW3, these gentlemen are outstanding musicians hailing from the Southland with two chart topping singles “I Got You” featuring Gerald Albright and “On the Floor” with an urban format.
Our featured artist, Warren Hill, is a household name with a career spanning over two decades with notable hits in the Jazz and Pop arena. Hill’s a skillful saxophone player with a successful sting of albums from “Kiss under the Moon” his debut project, to his most recent work titled “La Dolce Vita” featuring his signature sound of crossover jazz.
A portion of the proceeds from Jazz at the Creek will go to “The Food 4 Kids Backpack Program”, implemented under the San Diego Food Bank for chronically hungry elementary school students from low-income households, whose only meals are provided at school.
