Drummer Ari Hoenig is known for his unusual and intense approach to drumming, emphasizing complex rhythms in direct harmony with other group members. Ari is widely noted for his unique ability to modify the pitch of a drum by using drum sticks, mallets, and even body parts to play an entire chromatic scale. With 9 CDs as a leader, Ari travels the world with his primary groups and has also performed with Kenny Werner, Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Pat Martino and many others. Catch this rising star!
