Bay Area, where the band is now headquartered. Glow Scout's ethos is to not be constrained by genre, the one continuous element being the DIY spirit. Between 2010 and 2016 they released 9 albums with a rotating cast of contributors. The stand out album, Art, was released in 2014 on Ductape Records. Following a 7-year hiatus, a new wave of inspiration struck in 2023. Long-time collaborator Mike Calvert joined as a permanent member and Glow Scout hit the garage to record what would become the album The Big Let Down. Recorded DIY by the band, it was then mixed by Bill Stevenson and mastered by Jason Livermore @ The Blasting Room. This new direction goes back to their beginning, with a stripped-down urgency. Joined by new member Miguel Gomez, Glow Scout is ready to embrace their rebirth with amps turned up to 11.Fuzz Kit—Elaine Blakeley (vocals, guitar)Anne Martin (drums, vocals)Fuzz Kit are a post-punk band from the SF Bay Area. With vulnerable lyrics and overdriven guitars, they have compressed their sonic explorations into tight, hard-hitting songs. Harnessing the energy of feeling the world intensely, they set moody vocals over a landscape of fuzzy guitar hooks and powerful beats.Sad Dads Anonymous—Three sad dads making music in Oakland, CAI started hosting a Monday night music jam back in 2024. It was mostly as an excuse for fellow sound nerds to get out of the house, meet new folks, and try making music with other human beings... two guys in particular [James & Brian], kept showing up regularly... and I jokingly dubbed the nights we'd get together 'Sad Dads Anonymous.' We'd stumble through cover songs and jams... and slowly but surely those jams started turning into songs! I've never been great at starting lyrics, so I was stoked when Brian sent me the start of some lyric ideas that turned into 'Waiting' and was BLOWN AWAY when he sent me a phone recording and lyrics his 8 year old daughter wrote for what turned into 'Out Of My Mind.'
