Rodolfo Zuniga + Surfaces at Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society

Costa Rican native and now LA based jazz drummer, Rodolfo Zuniga is a world-class drummer who has performed with some of the best artists in the business. As a leader and composer, his quartet "Surfaces” has released two albums and has been featured in festivals around the US and in Central and South America. In 2005 the group was awarded the Carnegie Hall Residency under the direction of trumpeter Dave Douglas. The latest configuration of his quartet includes Jeff Ellwood an outstanding tenor sax player and Bach favorite Josh Nelson on piano. As well as being active on the LA jazz scene, Zuniga co-directs the jazz program at Cal State University, Fullerton with Bill Cunliffe. Zuniga has shared the stage with such jazz elites as Ira Sullivan, Bill Mays, Silvano Monasterios, Bill Cunliffe, Randy Brecker, Lew Tabackin and Joe Locke....
