Acoustic and electric bassist Dan Robbins is a first-call bassist in the Bay Area and beyond, known in the jazz world as a fiery improvisational spirit with a driving backbeat.
In his Local & Live showcase, Robbins features four of his favorite bands including the Phree Radicals, featuring Mike Shannon and John Whooley; the Tassajara Trio,with Eddie Mendenhall and Steve Robertson; Campbell-Robbins-Copley; and Wasabi featuring Ron and Alex Work with Tammi Brown. Expect an eclectic night of straight ahead jazz, funk, rock, pop, R&B, and originals.
