Saxophonist Dave Liebman's career reaches back to the halcyon days of the late '60s jazz/rock movement as a former member of Ten Wheel Drive. Like many saxophonists of his generation, Liebman was heavily influenced by John Coltrane and the avant garde. In the early '70s, Liebman played with Elvin Jones (Coltrane's former drummer) before being snapped up by trumpet legend Miles Davis.
