The powerful musical amalgamation that is Middle Space Collective returns to Kuumbwa for an evening of funky grooves and rollicking swing, celebrating the release of their CD Paradigm Shift. Featuring composing duo Kurt Stockdale – saxophone and Frank Buchanan – guitar and backed by veteran rhythm section Reuben Rogers – bass and Ulysses Owens Jr. – drums, this band puts together a unique assortment of influences into their group sound. It’s no surprise that these players can list Wynton Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, Joshua Redman, Dianne Reeves, Maceo Parker and Patti Austin amongst their collaborators.
