Tbd-a quartet is composed of two trumpets, bass and drums that perform linear jazz created through implied harmonies and stretching of traditional forms. The original music of Tbd–a quartet was written with this ensemble’s particular instrumentation in mind and has been created since the group began playing together. The band’s compositions often grow from a small idea and are developed by each member of the group. In Tbd-a quartet, the line is the most important element as it determines the direction and expresses the emotion and story of the music.
