Scotty Barnhart, Grant Stewart, and Clayton Cameron’s Clifford Brown/Max Roach Tribute Quintet offers their interpretation of the classic compositions of Brown and Roach. Scotty Barnhart is an acclaimed jazz trumpeter, leader, composer, arranger, educator and author. The two-time Grammy® Award winner is currently in his twentieth year as a featured soloist with the legendary Count Basie Orchestra. Grant Stewart has played his tenor sax with John Hendricks, Clark Terry, Etta Jones, Brad Mehldau, Russell Malone and Harry Connick, Jr., and was a member of the last Al Grey Sextet. Stewart has performed all over North America, Europe and Japan, and in NYC can be found playing at such clubs in NY as Birdland, Smoke, The Ketano, The Jazz Standard, Fat Cat and Smalls Jazz Club. Drummer Clayton Cameron has a dynamic career that has already crossed many barriers in the world of music. He played for megastar Tony Bennett for fifteen years, and has shared the stage with diverse artists such as blues legend Joe Williams, Frank Sinatra, Clark Terry, Kenny Burrell, K.D. Lang, James Taylor and the Backstreet Boys, to name a few. Cameron is also on the faculty of the Jazz Studies program at UCLA....
