Clarinetist and composer Alexandre Ribeiro invites everyone to a dancing afternoon of choros, maxixes, boleros and sambas alongside Roberta Valente on pandeiro, Ze Barbeiro on seven-string guitar and Emerson Bernardes on Cavaquinho.
Heir of greats clarinetists as Severino Araújo, K-Ximbinho, Luiz Americano, Abel Ferreira, Nailor Azevedo and Paulo Moura, Alexandre Ribeiro owns exuberant technique and exquisite interpretation, hypnotizing his listeners in the first notes.
Born in the city of São Simão, in the state of São Paulo, he was a disciple and had great influence of clarinetists like Krista Helfenberger Munhoz, Luiz Afonso Montanha, Sergio Burgani, Nailor Proveta and Stanley Carvalho.
In his trajectory, he shared the stage with great artists like Guinga, Quinteto Sujeito a Guincho, Antônio Nóbrega, Carlos Malta, Arismar do EspÃrito Santo, Osvaldinho do Acordeon, Dominguinhos, Nelson Ayres, Paulo Moura, Yamandu Costa, Raul de Souza, André Mehmari , Toninho Ferragutti, Ken Peplowsky, Toquinho, Elton Medeiros, Eduardo Gudin, Tom Zé, Ed Motta, Jair Rodrigues, Luciana Mello, Wilson das Neves, Jair Oliveira, Riachão, Aldir Blanc, Mafalda Minozzi, Jane Duboc, Consuelo de Paula, Teresa Cristina, Dona Ivone Lara, Leci Brandão, Nelson Sargento, Fabiana Cozza, Willy Gonzalez, Gabriele Mirabassi, Tulipa Ruiz and anothers famous musicians.

In 2009, he established a strong and successful partnership with guitarist Alessandro Penezzi, which resulted in two very prominent records in the instrumental music scene: "Cordas ao Vento" and "Ao Vivo na Bimhuis-Amsterdam", as well as several shows in Brazil and in the world.

His music was also appreciated in renowned concert halls such as Ibirapuera Auditorium, Sala São Paulo, Copenhagen Jazz House (Denmark), Young Museum (USA), Pristina Jazz Club (Kosovo), Bimhuis Room (Holland), Concertgebouw Room (Holland), Palau de la Musica Catalana (Spain), among others.
As a teacher, he taught courses "Clarinete Popular", "Choro Language for Wind Instruments" and "Choro Ensemble Practice" at the 29th Curitiba Music Workshop (2011 and 2014), California Brazil Camp (USA - 2011 and 2012), Festival of Music of Itajaà (2012), Workshop of Choro in Casa do Núcleo (São Paulo - 2012), Festival of Music of Ourinhos (2014 and 2015), Festival Choro and Jazz Jericoacoara / CE (2010, 2011, 2013), Choro Week of Barretos (2014), Clarinet Festival of Patagonia (Argentina - 2014), International Meeting of Clarinets - Bahia Blanca (Argentina - 2015).
In the Performing Arts, Alexandre has already participated of a great plays with important directors and actors like Zeba Del Farra, Pedro Paulo Rangel, Myriam Muniz, Clarisse Abujamra, among others. He is member of the team of musicians of the spectacle Garrincha, of the great American director Bob Wilson. He is musical director, arranger, composer and instrumentalist of the dance show Fino Fio, by Maria Eugênia Almeida, directed by Cristiano Meirelles.
He is a member of the project "Panorama do Choro Paulistano Contemporâneo", Grupo Luceros & Toninho Ferragutti, Grupo Roda de Choro and Grupo Ó do Borogodó.
Alexandre won two awards from the Brazilian government to record his first and second CDS: in 2014 he released the album Alexandre Ribeiro Quarteto and, in 2017, his first solo album, "De Pé na Proa", both produced by Swami Junior.
