The Jazz Club of Sarasota's 2015 Joy of Jazz concert series continues with another afternoon of swinging jazz standards by the David Pruyn Sextet, Sunday, February 8, 2 p.m., in Centennial Park, 200 West Venice Avenue, in Venice. Pruyn’s all-star ensemble includes Pruyn on trumpet and vocals, Tom Ellison on woodwinds, Dave Morgan on drums, Greg Nielsen on trombone, Dick Reynolds on keyboards, and Bruce Wallace on bass. The concert is free but donations are accepted in support of the Jazz Club’s scholarship fund. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
