Popularized in the 1960’s by jazz giant Jimmy Smith, the B3 Trio became a signature jazz sound. Tony Monaco is widely acknowledged as among the greatest B3 artists to come on the scene and is a very direct link to his mentor, Jimmy Smith. Tony’s most recent performing and recording partner is Savannah-based Howard Paul. A veteran of more than 40 years of jazz guitar, Howard has provided the guitar voice to B3 players including Doug Carne, Joey DeFrancesco, Pat Kelly, and Scott Giddens.
