Jazz drummer Bob Holz has been around for decades, working with the likes of David Newman, Cornell Dupree, Parliament Psychedelic and regularly with Larry Coryell. He's touring in support of a new album with studio contributions from an impressive cast, including John McLaughlin, Jean Luc Ponty, Darryl Jones, Randy Brecker, Brandon Fields and Airto Moreira. Tonight he brings to Lena's stage a trio of Mikal Serafin on guitar and Devery Battle on bass for a couple sets of easy flowing, sometimes smooth and sometimes funky, up-tempo, melodic contemporary jazz.
