Ben Black at Seattle Jazz Fellowship

Ben Black is a singer with astonishing range and artistic vision. He has been in the Seattle area since 1985, when he was a student at Cornish studying with the great Jay Clayton. The jazz community here may yet be unfamiliar with his talents, as Black performs in a wide range of musical communities including cabaret, opera-theater, and African drumming and dance. His music is filtered through his practice of Tibetan  and Zen Buddhism, and his volunteer work in the LGBTQ 25+ community. He released an album on the Origin Records label in 2001, titled Remembered Faces/Private Places.
