One of the many fine attributes of SJF, is the willingness to give young artists a stage. Such is the case with Portland trumpeter / composer Cyrus Nabipoor, as he makes his Seattle debut as a leader. Nabipoor splits his time between Portland and New Orleans. He arrives here leading a quartet featuring guitarist Jack Radsliff, bassist Garrett Baxter and drummer Noah Mortola. This represents a night with some very notable players from our sister city of Portland. It is always exciting to receive a new trumpet player on the scene, in this case Napipoor writing the leading lines to his Seattle narrative.
