Eugenie Jones Sings Nina Simone at The Royal Room

After recently performing nationally in such cities as Denver, Portland, Washington D.C., New York and Atlanta, as well as a successful sold-out concert in honor of the late jazz legend Nina Simone last year, singer/songwriter Eugenie Jones will return with two shows honoring Simone’s legacy.

Jones, who was recently recognized by Earshot Jazz as Northwest Vocalist of the Year for 2016, will perform songs from Simone’s early years, as well as Jones’ original compositions in her upcoming show, “Eugenie Jones Sings Nina Simone,” on Feb. 17, with an early show at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.) and a late show at 9 p.m. (doors open at 8:30 p.m.) at the Royal Room, located at 5000 Rainier Ave. S., in Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood.
