About

How Things Work are a Seattle foursome who play functioncore: blunt, urgent brass music influenced by art rock and post-punk. Mad inventor and trombonist Tom Yoder formed the band in 2013 to prove new sonic potential for a horn-heavy sound. The other gears in this machine are vocalist Jennifer Campbell, drummer Dave Revelli and Lauren Hepburn on baritone sax.
Garage-jazz quartet Industrial Revelation has been making music together in various incarnations for a decade. Founded by D'Vonne Lewis, one of Seattle's most sought-after drummers and the grandson of Seattle rhythm and blues legend Dave Lewis, the band also features Ahamefule J. Oluo on trumpet, Evan Flory-Barnes on bass, and Josh Rawlings on keyboards....
