Alto saxophonist / clarinetist Jacob Zimmerman hits the Fellowship with his working band, playing a variety of well known and lesser known jazz standards. Zimmerman and bassist Matt Weiner have played together regularly for several years, and have achieved an ease and chemistry with guitarist Chris Spencer and the exceptional drummer, Evan Woodle. 

Zimmerman tends to favor older jazz tunes, though he has surprised me a few times with his progressive versatility. In any case, he is a phenomenal melodic improviser, with a purity of sound on his instruments. I’m glad to see him front and center at the Fellowship, where a fully invested listening audience will be present to appreciate his artistry. https://seattlejazzfellowship.org/events
