Kerry Politzer Trio  at Seattle Jazz Fellowship

It’s about time that Seattle listeners become acquainted with Portland based pianist / composer Kerry Politzer. With seven albums released as a leader, Politzer is a nationally acclaimed performer who is currently on the staff at Portland State University. Her colleague there, the sensational pianist George Colligan, joins her on drums. While this may seem like a head scratcher to those unfamiliar with the full spectrum of Colligan’s musical prowess, he is a fine drummer and trumpeter. Bassist Greg Feingold is Seattle based, bringing an earthy, big sound to the double bass.
