Jacqueline Schafer’s soulful and improvisational singing made her a finalist at the 2017 Seattle Jazz Vocalist Competition. Tovi Newman studied classical and jazz guitar at the University of Alaska—he plays hard-swinging rhythm and playful solos.
Ranger and the “Re-Arrangers” evoke the spirit of a Paris cafe and the raucous energy of a Gypsy campsite with their version of Gypsy jazz.
