Jake Bergevin is a singer-trumpet player residing in the Seattle area. Like Chet Baker or Louis Prima, he has continued to refine his craft in both arenas and continues to play as headliner and sideman mostly in his native Seattle area.

Jake has played performances at many of Seattle's most prestigious venues and events, including the Showbox Theatre, Paramount Theatre, Bumbershoot, Folklife Festival, five years running at the Ellensburg Jazz in the Valley Festival plus hundreds of private events at venues like the Westin Hotel, Four Seasons Olympic Hotel, Hotel W, Columbia Winery, Hollywood School House, The Dome Room, Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, and many more. In demand as a private party entertainer, his groups have played for Microsoft, Bellevue Art Museum, AT&T, Eddie Bauer, the Savoy Swing Club, Central Washington University's Swing Cats and many more.
Jake Bergevin was recently elected WMEA Jazz Curriculum Chair and has continued to share his passion for music with many successful students through the music mentoring in both public and private teaching settings.
The Seattle Women's Jazz Orchestra (SWOJO) showcases many of the finest female jazz artists in the region for over 18 years.
Since the first rehearsal in January of 2000, the band has performed at clubs, jazz festivals, and concert halls on two continents and performed with many distinguished artists including Mimi Fox, Susan Pascal, Greta Matassa, Kelley Johnson, Gail Pettis, Hazel Leach, Jill Townsend, Ingrid Jensen, Christine Jensen, Grace Kelly, Curtis Stigers, and Sherrie Maricle.
SWOJO has released two CDs on OA2 Records: Dreamcatcher and Meeting of the Waters
The band has performed at the Earshot Jazz Festival, Seattle Jazz Vespers series, the Triple Door Mainstage, Dimitriou's Jazz Alley, Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival, and many others.
