Shanna Carlson at Swingin-sounds House Party

Shanna is Swingin-Sounds' first performer and is bringing two amazing artists with her. The icing on the cake includes Hugo Wainzinger, guitarist extraordinaire from the Bay Area, as well as Seattle's amazing Brazilian pianist Jovino Santos Neto.

Shanna has been singing and playing in and around the Bay Area since she was twelve, starting with playing for her church and later moving on through weddings, private parties, big bands, small combos, concerts, jazz festivals, recordings, musicals and radio and TV appearances. She has appeared with Joe Williams, Buddy Montgomery, Bruce Forman, Joe Henderson and others. in 1994 she released her first CD "\Swing High, Swing Low" featuring the title track written by Carroll Coates and has released several cps since then. She has appeared at the San Jose Jazz Festival, The Plush Room, Yoski"s Stanford Jazz Vocal Series and many MANY others. Aregentinean guitarist, Hugo Wainzinger, now resides in the Bay Area. Hugo is a multi-faceted composer, guitarist, arranger, producer and recording engineer and own a recording studio in Mountain View, California. Hugo has eclectic musical sensibilities and has been compared to Pat Metheny, Jim Hall and Luis Salinas.

Jovino Santos Neto needs no introduction. He is a three-time Grammy nominee, He is an internationally known pianist, composer, arranger and educator.
