The Seattle Jazz Fellowship is big tent, here bringing in a band that plays a wide array of Latin forms, from Afro-Cuban to Brazilian samba. It's so often that Latin jazz is presented as dance music. At SJF, the jazz club vibe is closer to concert presentation, where the music must stand up on its own. Kudos to SJF for embracing the whole community and giving it a stage.
