Welcome to the Isle of Wight Jazz Festival, held annually in April.

Our festival is growing in reputation in a unique location on a musical Island and we thank our current and future potential sponsors for their help and financial support.

2009 sees a fresh new look and new venue based in and around the former home of poet Swinburne at East Dene, Bonchurch at the eastern end of Ventnor, the annual capital of jazz in the UK's deep south.

Now in its 6th year the Isle of Wight Jazz Festival has innovative programming to provide a different view of all styles of jazz each year, mixing established names with up and coming talents. 17-19 April 2009 welcomes the James Taylor Quartet for the Saturday Messin' Around Club night. Barker & Shaw Go to the Movies in the festival's new Spiegel Theater at East Dene, John Etheridge Band appears with Liane Carroll, Mercury Award nominees Portico Quartet make their first Isle of Wight visit, as do Snake Davis Band, Get the Blessing and the Neil Cowley Trio. Other gigs over the weekend include The Lighthouse Trio, Tim Garland with Soweto Kinch, Neon with Stan Sulzmann, Protect the Beat with Derek Nash, The Real Ale & Thunder Band, Bombay Baja, Bryan Corbett Quartet, Shez Raja, World Service Project, Zoe Gilby, Katya Gorrie plus many others. The Sunday night swing finale features Ray Gelato & the Giants with an English Diva still to be announced.
