About
The Don Lerman Quartet presents a special salute to the music of Lucky Thompson. Don Lerman will be on saxophone, Jim Pickley on piano, Darrell Tidaback on bass, and Dan Degucz on drums. They will perform several of Thompson's original compositions including "The Scene is Clean," "No-Good Man Blues," and "The Plain But Simple Truth." Thompson, who also lived and performed in Europe for periods of time, recorded over 14 albums as a leader, including his celebrated album "Lucky Strikes," recorded on the Prestige label in 1964.
