Sam got the bug from his father who was known as “The Singing Pastor!”. He started his singing career in college as lead singer in local bands. Expanding his love for entertainment business as producer and promoter of entertainment events while in college. Even though he also had outstanding career in private and public sectors, the music business was his first love and passion. In 2006 he semi-retired to his home in Charleston, SC with hopes that he could start his entertainment business. He found that market size of Charleston was as in no comparison to New York or New Jersey. It was a small market with venue and musicians that are highly competitive. He spent 2006-2014 working the Charleston Season as an entertainer and promoter of entertainment events. In 2015 he relocated to Arizona. * He had great times meeting a lot of great musicians and friends but felt compelled to return to his home in Charleston where he met one of Charleston’s legendary musicians Oscar Rivers Jr. while he substitute teaching at one of the local elementary schools. Oscar introduced me to How Art Thou Jazz Lounge on James Island and invited me to sit in one of the Jam sessions. I did and meet the owner David Berger who is a retired Army Veteran from New Jersey. Well, we hit it off and the rest is history. Come share in the experience every Sunday when the doors open at 5:30 and ShowTime is 6:30-9:30. Special guest performer is the Oscar Rivers Jazz Trio.
