The Festival itself opens on Friday, March 3, with a spectacular vocal show from Jazz at Lincoln Center. Called “Songs We Love,” the JALC program is currently being toured to 50 US cities by Joye in Aiken’s Artistic Director for Jazz, Riley Mulherkar. The show features three vocalists and an all-star band, and focuses on the music of great jazz vocalists including Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland.
