Join Charles Lazarus and his band for an afternoon of re-imagined jazz standards and joyful originals! This program will include music inspired by the sultry melodies and evocative rhythms of the world's tropical climates - Brazil, Cuba, Africa, Hawaii and more. Repertoire includes originals by Lazarus, music from the Buena Vista Social Club and a tribute to bossa nova legend, Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Charles is a member of the Minnesota Orchestra and a multi-faceted musician who has charted a unique course as performer, composer, producer and band leader. His career has included tenures in Dallas Brass, Meridian Arts Ensemble, and Canadian Brass. He has created and produced several crossover orchestral programs featuring his various ensembles with which he has released six recordings....
