The Big Acoustic Band (BAB), with great and excellent soloists, instrumentalists with national and international recognition, was founded in 2006, from an idea of Alfonso Carrascosa, with the aim of presenting a modern proposal, of music for big band, original, with its own repertoire and open to various influences. Resident orchestra of Jamboree Jazz Club in Barcelona since 2008, Dick Oatts (alto saxophonist and musical director of the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra of New York) is also resident member of the orchestra, participating in concerts and recording the first CD of the Bab "Children "2009.
