We'll be Gateway City Arts for another Jazz Double Dose on Friday December 1 with The Ellen Cogen Ensemble. Featuring Ellen on Vocals and Keys, guitarist extraordinaire John Mason, sax legend Ted Levine and hot rhythm section of Claire Arenius on drums, and Kai Caban on Bass. The Ensemble will be performing a set of Joni Mitchell's jazz repertoire from Hejira, Mingus and The Joni Letters (Herbie Hancock). We're really excited to see Ellen do her Joni Jazz show again...you really don't wanna miss this rare opportunity!!!

The Joint will have the full sextet and performing a set of our own arrangements of tunes from Miles, Dizzy, Monk, Herbie and more, with Ken Forfia on Piano, David Kisala on Sax, Clark Seibold on Drums, George Kaye on Bass, Ed Brainerd on horns and Michael Levine on Guitar.
