The documentary by award winning director Sam Pollard explores the life and music of the legendary drummer, composer, band leader and social activist through a remarkable series of creative peaks, struggles, and personal reinvention. The film was released in 2023 and premiered at the SXSW Film and TV festival in March. Film followed by a Q&A with Sam Pollard and NEPM host Tom Reney.
