Not since his Sheldon Concert Hall performance of "You Can't Do That in St. Louis" in 2003 has Al staged a music/comedy event.

'Classic stage variety-man Alan Ox' pulls together all his talents for this music and comedy event. This show promises to be even more charged than his previous comedy endeavors, with Al and his band working the stage together, through the lyrics and the laughs. This one-night-only show of "Song, Shtick & Soft-Shoe" spotlights Oxenhandler's vocals in the dramatic 560 Music Building in the U-City Loop area. Along with his personal take on popular tunes, the show will be peppered with Al's brand of comedic observation as he launches into the crooning styles of vocalists he has admired or jabbed through the years. ABOUT ALAN OXENHANDLER
Multi-instrumentalist (vocals-drums-piano) Alan Ox has routinely performed across the Midwest in bars and bistros since his early 20s. It is his music lovers, however, who know better than to peg him for music alone.

Alan has staged comedy shows and tributes to both Tony Bennett and Chet Baker. For the last 5 years he has studied tap dance. Ox also plays drums and piano with his trio, and performs weekly on piano at Ruth's Chris Steak House at the Hyatt Hotel Downtown and in Clayton.
