The 5-day St. Petersburg Jazz Festival (Feb. 26 - March 1) opens on 2/26 with Brazilian jazz group O Som Do Jazz with guest flutist, Jose Valentino Ruiz. On 2/27, we have the amazing jazz/funk fusion group The Conglomerate. Friday evening (2/28) is virtuoso steel pan artist Leon Foster Thomas with Tal Cohen and his group. Saturday's concert (2/29) features vocalist Alexis Cole and the 18-piece Helios Jazz Orchestra. The final concert on Sunday (March 1) is a tribute to the innovative trumpeter and composer Booker Little, led by Jason Charos and students from the Frost School of Music in Miami.
