The duo marks the reencounter and collaboration of the two friends, musicians and composers.

The bass player Rogerio Botter Maio living in São Paulo, Brazil and the Italian pianist Piergiorgio Pirro, an expert on Brazilian music celebrate in this concert their great musical connexion. They will perform a mixed repertoire of Rogério’s five released CDs as well as arrangements written by Botter Maio for three Brazilian standards (Tom Jobim Baden Powell among others).

Rogerio Botter Maio has been a bass player and a composer for 36 years, originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and has been performing and recording with artists such as Paquito D'Rivera, Gerry Mulligan, Leny Andrade, Lionel Hampton, just to name a few.
