About

The Helios Jazz Orchestra came together in late 2008 as the ensemble-in-residence at St. Petersburg College. Its goal was, and continues to be, excellence in big band performance in several jazz genres including Swing, Bebop, Latin and Contemporary jazz. Since inception, Helios has been active performing at the Clearwater Jazz Festival, Palladium Theater, Ybor Jazz Festival, Sarasota Big Band Bash, the Salvador Dali Museum, SPC Jazz Festival and other events. Helios performs every third Tuesday of the month at NOVA 535.
