French-Dominican roots and passion for gypsy jazz remain to be big sources of inspiration for Aimée, who is considered one of the most skillful improvisational jazz singers of her generation. Aimée has settled in New York where she is also known as a Broadway actress. The New York Times has described Aimée as a mixture of Michael Jackson and Sarah Vaughan.

The New York Times on kuvannut Aiméeta yhdistelmäksi Michael Jacksonia ja Sarah Vaughnia, nousevaksi tähdeksi jazzlaulajien galaksissa. Grammy-ehdokkuutensa lisäksi hän on voittanut Montreux Jazz Festivalin laulukilpailun ja Sarah Vaughnin kansainvälisen jazzlaulukilpailun.
