This six-member band, comprised of young jazz virtuosos, performs compositions by guitarist-composer Johannes Granroth. The band's unique and flexible groove draws from jazz, funk rock, and neo-soul, allowing musicians space to play and improvise. The engaging rhythmic vibe particularly shines in instrumental pieces, but Maja Mannila also vividly embellishes the overall sound with her vocals.

Hämeenlinnassa pari kertaa esiintynyt ja suuren suosion saanut Peela palaa maaliskuussa Suistoklubille!
Nuoremman sukupolven jazztaitureista muodostuva kuusihenkinen yhtye esittää kitaristi-säveltäjä Johannes Granrothin sävellyksiä. Yhtyeen persoonallinen ja notkea groove ammentaa jazzista, funkrockista ja neo-soulista, ja muusikoilla on tilaa leikkiä ja improvisoida. Mukaansatempaava rytminen meininki päätyy etenkin instrumentaali-kappaleihin, mutta Maja Mannila myös koristelee laulullaan kokonaisuutta eloisasti.
Peela on perustettu vuonna 2016 ja julkaisi debyyttialbuminsa Layers toukokuussa 2018. Odotettu toinen levy Stepping Stones ilmestyi syyskuussa 2020. Vuoden 2023 aikana yhtye on julkaissut seitsemän singlen verran uutta musiikkia.
