Carey Frank Organ Trio at The Merc

Carey is fortunate to be an active musician, working as a soloist and with other musicians of different size groups with various genres. Carey has performed, recorded, and worked with well-known musicians. In March of 2011, he had the wonderful opportunity of traveling to Nepal to teach and perform at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory and in Chitwan and in July of 2012 traveled to New Dehli, India to teach music clinics and perform.

One of the things that Jamey prides himself on is not being the kind of drummer who can only play one type of music. An example of this is his current simultaneous tours with David Benoit and Mindi Abair. He cut his teeth on big band, growing up as a big band, straight-ahead jazz drummer, but sharing a love of orchestral music with Benoit. Mindi Abair described him as “always sensitive to the music, listens, creates with everyone on stage, and he can rock the house!”...

Will arrived in Los Angeles in 2007 where he attended the Cole Conservatory of music at Cal State Long Beach and graduated in 2012 with a bachelors degree in jazz guitar performance. He is a five-time K-jazz scholarship recipient. He has released two albums with his trio and plays with a number of different groups and artists in the Los Angeles area, including Kim Richmond, Bijon Watson, Adam Schroeder, and New West Guitar Group. Will comes from a very diverse musical background, blending many different musical styled into his own jazz-based playing.
